Wie kann man eigendlich die Swap-Partition vergrößern? Der Server hat eine große Partition und halt die swap-partition.
Man kann Partitionen resizen. Gefährliches Unterfangen.
Da ein Gameserver nicht swappen darf, dürfte das ohnehin nichts bringen.

Ein Gameserver kann nicht swappen? Währe auch nicht vorteilhaft.
Ich habe unmengen an Diensten laufen. Kann mir einer die bitte aufschlüsseln? was apache und mysql bedeutet, weis ich ja. die gameserver kenne ich auch. aber der rest?
Wundert euch nicht, dass die Gameserver als root laufen. Ich bin gerade am Umstrukturieren. Da ist erstmal kein User dauerhaft vorhanden.

Und daß es nicht vorteilhaft ist, hab ich ja oben schon angedeutet.
Zu den einzelnen Prozessen mußt Du Dir eben die Arbeit machen, nachzulesen, was die genau machen.
Ein kleines Beispiel, wie man das macht (vorausges. Du hast SuSE) hab ich Dir hier mal gebastelt:
